One of the biggest barriers victims face when deciding to leave their abuser, is not being able to take a beloved pet. More than 50% of victims stay in abusive homes out of fear for the safety of their pets.

Whidbey Animals Improvement Foundation (WAIF) partners with CADA, offering foster care to ensure that pets will be safe when their owners are fleeing an abusive relationship.
