About CADACADA is Island County's domestic violence and sexual assault agency. We provide free, confidential assistance for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, rape, child sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Service include crisis intervention, counseling, legal advocacy, support groups and therapy, children's programs community education and prevention. Founded in 1979, CADA is now accredited by the Washington State Office of Crime Victims Advocacy as a Community Sexual Assault Program and is a member of the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Washington State Homelessness Coalition, United Way of Island County, Oak Harbor and Stanwood Chambers of Commerce. The agency's services are delivered without discrimination by reason of race, color, religion, disability, pregnancy, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, age, ethnicity, income, veteran status, marital status, or any ohter basis prohibited by federal, state or local law. CADA advocates provide information on victims' rights and options but this service should not be construed as legal advice. Clients are encouraged to contact an attorney for legal assistance. Services are provided through
grants from the state and federal government, local and regional foundations,
